Johnson, Marc David
          Marc David Johnson passed away peacefully from complications of Pick's disease on August 3, 2014 in Spokane, WA at the age of 72. Marc is survived by his wife Beth; his two sons, Eric and Lance, and the family dog Bently. Marc was vorn October 30, 1941 in Spokane, WA to his parents Lawrence and Doris Jane (Bissell) Johnson. As a child, he enjoyed sports, 50's music, assembling stick-built model airplanes, spending time at the family cabin oh Hauser Lake, fishing and boating. During Marc's high school years at Lewis & Clark, he played piano for his rock 'n roll band called "The Marc 5". His band played 'gigs' in Spokane and the surrounding areas, which helped pay for his college education. After graduating high school, Marc served his country in the United States Navy from 1960-64, spending his time on the USS Henry W. Tucker, as an Electrical Technician. After returning from his military service, Marc earned his Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Washington University and went on to be a high school teacher and an assistant football coach in the Tri-Cities and in Cusick, WA. He met his future wife of 44 years and married Beth Hoefel in 1970. He became a partner in his family's marine business as a purchasing manager. When he retired his wish was to pursue his passion; collecting and restoring classic cars. Marc and Beth belonged to the Inland Empire Mustang Club, Inland Northwest Thunderbird Club and Lilac City Morpars Unlimited, traveling throughout the region to car shows. He was particularly proud of his black and white '56 Thunderbird. Marc enjoyed every day of the summer with his family at their lake home on Coeur d'Alene Lake. Marc loved life, he was a very gentle and kind soul who was always happy and smiling, and had a jovial laugh. Memorial services will be held September 27, 2014 at 11:00am, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5720 South Perry Street, Spokane, WA. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Spokane Cremation & Funeral Service.
