| Ross was born in Spokane, Washington to Josephine Lebeck Hendricks and the late Charles Franklin Hendricks. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hendricks. Captain Hendricks had a 28 year career in the U.S. Navy. He passed away in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 22, 2010. He is survived by his mother, Josephine, three daughters, Elizabeth Hendricks Riggs, Aime Hendricks Butler, Alison Ross Hendricks; two sisters, Joanne King and Shirley Backlund; five grandchildren, Isabel and Grace Riggs, Gillian, Paige and Cameron Butler; his godson, Nicholas Wasilewski.
